Mission Statement
The mission of the ARHA is to expand access to high-quality, comprehensive medical care for citizens in rural and underserved communities across Arkansas.
We repurpose vacant or underutilized buildings into fully equipped community health centers—modern facilities designed to deliver integrated care across multiple specialties while maintaining strict standards for accessibility, privacy, and infection control.
Each center will include dedicated divisions for:
-
Primary Care
Preventive, acute, and chronic care for individuals and families. -
Women’s Health
Comprehensive reproductive and wellness services tailored to women’s unique needs. -
Infusion Therapy
Administering advanced treatments, including new Alzheimer’s drugs that slow disease progression. -
Seasonal and Acute Care Clinics
Influenza Clinic – IV hydration, antiemetic therapy, pain relief, and antivirals when appropriate.
Pneumonia & Asthma Clinic – On-site imaging, nebulizer treatments, oxygen therapy, and pulmonary consultation. -
Diabetes Care & Education
A1C testing, medication initiation, patient education, and podiatry services for diabetic foot care.
We accept all major insurance plans and operate a grant-supported assistance program to ensure that no patient is denied essential care or medication due to cost.
Through these efforts, the ARHA is building a sustainable model of rural medicine—one that prevents hospitalizations, advances health equity, and strengthens the quality of life for Arkansas families.

Dr. Bushra Shah, M.D. — Gerontology / Geriatric Medicine
Dr. Shah is a fellowship-trained geriatrician who believes geriatrics is a true medical specialty because seniors’ needs are specific—especially medication safety, frailty, and how the body responds to treatment.
She focuses on longevity, encouraging patients to engage earlier in care so interventions can help them age better, live better, and remain independent.
“Our goal is not only to treat illness, but to help people age with strength, independence, and dignity.”
